Create your story

We are looking for stories that capture your own or somebody else’s path into open education from a learner, practitioner or researcher perspective. But also stories of everyday openness.

Story about opening-up

The following three questions may help you put your story together that captures your path into openness as a learner, practitioner or researcher.

  1. How did it all start?
  2. What has changed for you since then?
  3. What role have open educational resources, open practice, open research and/or open licensing played for you?
  4. What are you planning to do next?

Helping somebody else to open-up as a learner, practitioner, researcher

If you helped somebody else to consider open education, the following questions might be useful to share that story too:

  1. What did you do to help somebody else recognise the value of open learning, open practice or open research?
  2. What has changed as a result of it for this individual?
  3. What are you planning to do next?

Stories about everyday openness

Beyond the stories that capture initial opening up, we are also interested in stories that capture everyday openness. What did you do recently, yesterday, just now as an open learner, practitioner or researcher?

Stories can be in any shape, form, medium or language. Tell and share your story using a poem, a picture a film. Whatever works for you.

We all have more than one story to tell. Share yours with the wider community using the hashtag #101openstories.
